If you’ve noticed your Power BI dashboards failing to load or not performing well on your screens lately, you're not alone. Microsoft recently increased browser requirements, meaning some devices with older browsers can’t properly display Power BI dashboards anymore.
To solve this, we've introduced a new screenshotting feature in our Power BI app. It allows Fugo to load your dashboard in a secure Cloud server and display it on your screen as a screenshot, bypassing browser limitations and ensuring your data appears correctly.
If your device is struggling to load data-heavy dashboards, or if your player uses an outdated browser, the screenshotting feature will help bypass these issues and keep your dashboards visible and up-to-date.
You’ll find a toggle for this feature in your Power BI app settings in Fugo:
For more detailed instructions, check out our Power BI App Guide.
We hope this helps keep your dashboards running smoothly!

Since launching our Fugo casting feature last year, we've received great feedback on how it simplifies switching to presentation mode on Fugo-connected screens. But until now, only Fugo admins and users could enjoy this convenience, and others needed to log in with credentials first.
That changes today!
Now, your non-Fugo teammates and visitors can easily cast to your Fugo-connected screens using a special link displayed on screen.
You can set it up from the new Casting tab of your screen's dashboard:
Want to give it a try on your screens? Check out our handy guide to get started 👉 Screen Casting 101
Looking to share casting instructions with your wider team? Here’s a helpful guide tailored for non-Fugo users 👉 How To Cast To a Fugo Screen
Note
This feature is currently supported on Android, Windows, ChromeOS, and Tizen 6.5 & up. BrightSign users, hang tight—we're rolling it out to you soon! 👀
For the best casting experience, make sure your device runs Chromium version 83 or higher. If your screen's browser is a bit outdated, no worries! A Chromecast with Google TV or an Android box can give it a quick, affordable boost. Check out our recommended devices here.
Casting is a premium feature, so yo'll need to be on or upgrade to a Core or Enterprise plan to use it.

Fugo is now fully supported on Raspberry Pi 5, making us the first digital signage software provider to achieve this milestone 💪
Released at the end of 2023, the Raspberry Pi 5 brings substantial improvements over its predecessor:
If you want to learn more, we did a full review of the Raspberry Pi 5 here.
Simply put, the upgraded hardware means the RPi5 will be able to handle larger and longer content more easily (think better rendering of videos and dashboards.)
In response these upgrades in the Pi hardware & OS, we've refined our app and improved the pairing process for Raspberry Pi devices. Here's what's new:
Overall these are significant upgrades and we look forward to seeing you roll Fugo out on your new Raspberry Pi devices!
Check out our installation guide if you've got a Raspberry Pi you want to test or use Fugo on 👉 https://www.fugo.ai/fugo/en/articles/5842665-how-to-install-fugo-on-raspberry-pi

Or use the file picker to upload them:
For those who want to automate upload & publishing of your PPT and Onedrive files even more, please let us know what functionality you'd like to see added to Fugo! Your feedback will help us build better integrations with your file repositories so using your TV screens becomes even easier for your teams.

Happy publishing!
You can now easily upload media to your Fugo media library directly from Google Drive and Dropbox.
Upload single files or entire folders. When you upload a folder, Fugo will automatically create a new folder in your library with the same name.
Find these options in the New dropdown in your Media library:
Note: this method of sharing media from your Dropbox or Google Drive differs from our integrations, which allow you to select a folder that gets automatically updated on screen each time you drop a new file into it. For more information on those integrations, refer to the links above.

Introducing the brand new Fugo Microsoft Teams app that just landed in the Teams store and is helping to solve some pretty common problems:
These are not small problems. And at Fugo, we know that the most surefire way to see ROI on your tech investments is to a) make it almost effortless to use and b) get buy in from your wider organization.
The Teams bot is another step we’re taking to help you get there. We’ve taken a tool you’re already using and turned it into an automatic content creation machine that anyone in your Teams organization can use.
Simply install the app in your Teams account and start creating posts for your screens in a few steps:
Depending on the content in your post, Fugo will work out how it should be displayed on screen - saving you the effort of configuration.
Use it from your desktop or mobile Teams app 📱
We already have some customers using the app and we’re working on how we can take the integration further in partnership with Microsoft (more on that soon.)
